Chris North I liked pulling some images out of the archive last week, so I though I would do it again. All of these were from a calendar shoot I did when I lived in Phoenix Arizona. Femme Athletic is a women’s fitness clothing store and I did a lot of shooting for them years ago. All of these were shot in 2005 for a 2006 calendar. Unfortunately the calendar was never printed but that happens from time to time, right?

May 16th, 2010 Chris North OK, so I have not shot much of anything of late. Not because I don’t want to… just cause life is busy and I only get to “shoot” when life is not so busy.
So I decided to pull a few shots out of the archive.
Have you ever gone back and looked at what you shot last year or five years ago? If not you should. These four shots were never picked up and posted anywhere. Never used for an online or printed portfolio. Maybe they just weren’t “it” then or now… I don’t claim to know why people like or don’t like stuff… well I know what I like! But I still don’t know why we didn’t pick them then and I don’t know why I picked them now…
That said… here they are.
This is Breanne Ashley. You can “Like” her here. This was shot July of 2004. I used that same light a few times after Breanne but I always called the Breanne light from that shoot on.

March 18th, 2010 Chris North We have only been twice before and we really need to go more. The kids love it and the photo opportunities are everywhere!
I honestly don’t know where to start and right now it is more about the pictures then anything I can tell you about the visit other than the kids had a blast and I can’t wait to go back and shoot a lot more – hopefully with less people -

March 1st, 2010 Chris North Ed Selby along with Stu Haluski and I set off February 26th on our winter PhRT or Photography Road Trip. It is a chance to get away from everything and shoot. This was my second trip, the group which includes Brian Garrett, has set off on 3 PhRTs so far. This time around we hit Spruce Pine North Carolina. Great little town, blink and you will miss it. Ed’s family has a place near by which made for a really nice bonus night of family fun, great food and even better conversation.
I set out on this trip with two photographic goals. One was to shoot something, a leaf would be nice, frozen in ice. Well there is about a foot of frozen snow on the ground… so that is Read the rest of this entry »
